Just got back from an intramural quiz bowl tournament. AL memories!
Deja vu
I went home this weekend to play for the 50th anniversary concert for the La Jolla Symphony. I really enjoyed being back home - eating my dad’s ridiculously good shrimp/tofu soup and my mom’s new spicy chicken specialty. I watched the women’s figure skating championships with my mom Saturday night, and during that I realized how much more I truly appreciate being home now that...

dorm life
Guy #1: Dude, you're so much more efficient than I am.
Guy #2: What do you mean?
Guy #1: I mean its 11am and you've already showered today.
Guy #2: So?
Guy #1: So, I don't even remember the last time I showered...
This is actually unrelated to dorm life, but today I overheard a guy say to his friend, "I want bigger calves, so I'm going to start walking on my toes."
Back to school
I have to be honest, I was so sad coming back to school. When I was buying a 2010 planner at the bookstore, I purposely didn’t buy the one with Stanford written on it because I didn’t want a visible sign of school staring me in the face everyday.
But that passed pretty quickly - I’m glad to be back now (aside from my rather lackluster classes). I learned how to ski last weekend!...
